PAUL BUDIN

BASSIST: Outnumbered and Otis & The Elevators

The first time I met Nick was when I saw the b-lovers at Mabel’s.  Iwas impressed with his persona and with the way he could deliver his songs.  He seemed most at ease when he was on stage. I admired him. He was brilliant and a consummate artist. He never came off as arrogant or like a rock star, but on stage he was clearly in his element.

Nick and Bob Kimball had a magical chemistry in Weird Summer.  When he sang with Bob it was like two lead singers, and you had this amazing three guitar onslaught. It was just incredible.
